I take immense pride and pleasure in extending a warm welcome to both the child and the parents to the FLS Community through this page.
I consider this to be a huge honor and privilege to head Father LeBlond School as its Rector-Principal, and thus, been entrusted with the task of imparting quality education and help the children under our care to grow into positive contributors in making the world a better place for living. In a nutshell, my mission here is ‘building up young people for a globally concerned life in the 21st Century’.
I, as an educator, do sincerely believe that we cannot educate the children of today for their tomorrow based on our beliefs and understanding of yesterday. The FLS Model of Education is ever dynamic and does facilitate in adjusting and adapting to the ever-changing world.
I am also a strong believer of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences formulated by the world-famous educational psychologist, Prof. Howard Gardner.
I am also wedded to the belief that pupil engagement in the School life must be coupled with the pursuit of excellence in their chosen field and that the FLS experience must inculcate a set of values in every pupil as preparedness for citizenship in the 21st Century. The accent, therefore, on leadership and pupil ownership of the functioning of the School, is a unique and vital aspect of the FLS experience.
Based on the above beliefs, I with my colleagues aim to provide all the necessary facilities so as to enable the children to identify their innate talents and strengths, and help them attain their targets and realise their highest potential. And, for all these, the FLS Model of Education and our time-tested systems provide for development and honing their communication skills, reasoning and problem-solving abilities, and overall development of their personal, social and emotional skills.
As Elizabeth Lawrence had said, ‘a happy harmonious environment is where our children grow”, I am positive that nestled in the large, beautiful, safe and vibrant environment at FLS, children in our care will be able to realize their full potential and excel in their areas of choice and strength.
